Two songs ~ two stories ~ one release
I’m so glad to be sharing with you that I’ll be starting 2025 with the release of my double A-side single All We Are/Hard Times (Come Again No More) on 3rd January.
These two songs both hold a deep meaning for me and I couldn’t choose between them, so releasing them together as a double offering just felt like the right thing to do.
These tracks also reflect the duality of the start of a new year - it’s a time of new beginnings while in the depths of winter, a time of reflection while also looking forward, a moment to stand still alongside a moment to move on.
I wanted to share them side by side for you to listen to during whichever moment you find yourself in. One song being played on a delicate steinway piano in a local church on Dartmoor and the other made up of mandolin recorded in a regenerated clay factory and guitar and Hammond Organ from my dear friend Jack Cookson on the outskirts of Bristol; summing up how both traditional and contemporary sounds and places have equal significance in the world.
