Here I play Beatles «Hey Jude» on Jdr Harps Ninja diatonic harmonica.

JDR Ninja is harmonica with recessed reedplates full length non-vented coverplates, round holes. Pretty solid harmonica out of the box too and after some easy setup overbends great. Tone is clear, not raspy, not as bright as Gentle Monster which have vented coverplates. Out of the box tuned to 443 Hz tempered, I tuned it to compromised.

Bill Barrett on one one lessons told me when he played both diatonic and chromatic and had goals to progress he used chromatic for more active, aggressive, blues tunes, while diatonic for more soft and lyrical stuff. I was impressed by this approach and doing the same pretty often. My recent video was Chicago blues on chromatic with a lot of bends, today I show lyrical (at least in the beginning) Beatles song on diatonic.
