http://www.vladtv.com - "It's kind of like Black Lives Matter. When someone says Black lives matter, it doesn't mean other lives don't. Are White people guests in hip-hop? Hell Yeah!"

As someone who considers himself a guest in the house of DJ Screw's version of the culture, Paul Wall exclusively spoke to DJ Vlad about white rappers being "guests" in hip-hop. Following continuous scrutiny over Iggy Azalea's validation in hip-hop, Paul says, "It didn't bother me or nothing at all." The 34-year-old believes that the Houston hip-hop scene and the culture as a whole is too busy facing their own issues to worry about Iggy Azalea's place in hip-hop. "The things, the hurdles, the challenges we face from Houston, from Texas in hip-hop—man we ain't worry[ing] about Slim Jesus [or] Iggy Azalea. We ain't worried about none of that. We got our own world going on of things that's way more crucial to us in our Texas hip-hop culture."

The Slab rider goes on to discuss Hip Hop's lack of accountability, "Who is asking Kool Herc about new artists?" No one and because of this, Paul believes it is easy for almost anyone to become a rap star with a "hit" song without truly understanding the culture.
