uniq poet - baby steps (spoken poetry)
Lyrics:
im taking baby steps
i know where i wanna go but i aint in a hurry so i may just rest
these days im faking less
to be honest being honest with myself is way better than to stay depressed
n if anything is overwhelming i just tell myself to take a breath
i want the world green and paperless
i want the wars to stop and all the hate to shred
i want love to spread amongst all races, yes
but race means competition, right?
you see, how they chose the word to divide us
turned every lovers into fighters
yeah I live my life but someone else is the decider
I mean 95% of my action is subconsious
and they hijacked it and programmed it way before I cud even acknowledge
advertisements, news, school system and college
when was the last time I had an original thought
ha! time to take a breath
back to taking baby steps
all that matters is me being intuned with the now
i dont need to know the answers of what when and how
coz i have my WHY, my purpose in life
n that's enough to guide me left and right
as long as my intentions are pure i got nothing to worry
i know the universe'll grant whatever i deserve in this journey
n that's why im taking baby steps
