In this lesson we will take a look at the Mr. Big acoustic classic "To Be With You".
Mr. Big's Paul Gilbert keeps his mammoth guitar chops under wraps for most of the song using mostly simple open chords and a couple of barre chords.
In this lesson I do cover the little bass lines he plays in the chorus which make things considerably more difficult, but those aren't really needed to play the song convincingly so you can decide whether to do them or not.
The solo for "To Be With You" contains a liberal use of double and triple stops and is a nice intermediate level challenge for any guitarist willing to attempt it. It truly is a guitar solo that serves the song very well.
So have fun tackling this acoustic classic, I certainly had a lot of fun making the lesson. :) Cheers! Carl..
