Originally entitled Armour of God, “My Rock and My Fortress” is a ditty from the valley written on December 8, 2021. A month later and now into the first few days of 2022, Happy New Year!

Valley Ditty YouTube Channel is happy to release the initial version of Rock and Fortress tonight as a song video with lyrics. Words and music by Fil-Am U.S. songwriter, Jinky Casusi. Vocals, guitar, and musical arrangement by Joel Winterflood, a UK artist whom I have enjoyed collaborating with on songs like “On The Bright Side” and “You’re Not Here” (Maelstrom).

A Christian song suited not only for the end times but for daily living, it reminds us to pray without ceasing! And to wear the full armour of faith, hope, love, and truth. More than a ditty from the valley, “My Rock and My Fortress” V. 1 is a victory song for Christians everywhere who might grow weak and weary, and yet strive to patiently endure and persevere. These are not easy times, after all, and we are called to encourage and minister to each other.

At the heart of this valley ditty is the message of redemption from sin and salvation through Jesus Christ.
