Níðhöggr, Malice Striker was a dragon, endlessly gnawing away at the roots of the World Tree, Yggdrasil. In ancient Viking times, Níð meant one who had lost all honour, a ne'er do well, a villain. One of the three roots of Yggdrasil trap Níðhöggr who constantly tries to gnaw his way free, whilst believed also to feast upon the inhabitants of Náströnd one of the darkest corners of Hel to which are sent those guilty of the most heinous of Viking crimes - murderers, adulterers and worst: oath-breakers.

First single of the forthcoming album Yggdrasil, Níðhöggr features ancient Norse lyrics adapted by Christine Hals.
