http://www.vladtv.com - Up-and-coming emcee Nino Man discussed how being from Harlem influenced him as a rapper, his relationship with Jadakiss, being an indie artist and more during a recent chat with VladTV.

Growing up at 112th and Lenox Ave., Nino reveals he started getting serious about hip hop when he was around 15 or 16. He explains that growing up in Harlem surrounded by trendsetters has helped him hone his craft. "Growing up in Harlem puts you on point, like in general -- because everything is at the top of its peak," Nino Man says, adding, "If you can make it in Harlem, you can make it anywhere."

Moving on, Nino explains how he linked up with Jadakiss, saying his manager initially played Kiss his music and later introduced Nino to the Yonkers rapper, who quickly co-signed him and brought him into the So Raspy movement.

Nino then touches on being an independant artist, explaining that he plans on staying indie until he gets a sweet enough offer from a label. "If we don't get the right offer, then we're just gonna make it right regardless because we already got everything we need," he says.

Check out the clip to hear more from Nino Man including what music he bumps, projects he's got in the works, and what it was like to hang out with some legendary emcees during All-Star Weekend.
