Somewhere between being told to "toughen up" and learning to honor my most inconvenient emotions, I found a kind of freedom...
This poem of mine... it lives in that raw, unfiltered space where we stop making our pain palatable for others.
Some feelings refuse to follow timelines.
Some grief won't be rushed.
Some healing demands to be messy, loud, and completely unpackaged.
And maybe that's exactly what healing actually looks like.
So here it is: "No Apologies" - my spoken word poem for anyone who's been told to "toughen up" or "get over it" when grief, trauma, or heartbreak refused to follow society's timeline – this is your permission to feel fully.
