Ok here’s the thing…

Should you always warm up?

Yes, that’s the responsible thing to do.

Warming up help you take care of your vocal health, stretch your voice, get rid of phlegm, reduce cracking, etc.

But sometimes the real world looks a bit different and we have to sing without properly warming up before.

Coach Emily knew that this was going to be the case for her audition so she prepared for it by practicing singing on a “cold voice”.

What a smart thing to do!!!

That way you can feel so much more prepared and at ease when that moment comes and you didn’t have a full vocal warm up.

Genius, coach Emily
