God bless the song of the seagull, calling me back to my home,
Drawing me out of confusion, and back to where I belong,
She flies so high up above me, her love song is just within reach,
If I could just sit more quietly, perhaps I could hear her teach!

God bless the song of the seagull as she makes her way ‘cross the sky,
She casts it upon us like blessings, and she never demands a reply!
I wish I could sing like the seagull, and spread words of grace everywhere,
Leaving my message behind me for those who would listen and hear.

I’d offer my song to the breezes and trust them to carry it strong,
Hoping someday it would reach you and move you to sing along!
Oh, brothers and sisters, come out of your homes,
There’s love to be shared, there’s work to be done!
