Shri Kanhangad Shankaran Namboodiri is a carnatic classical music scholar and singer from Kerala.He was born to Kanhangad Madhurakkad Perikamana Krishnan Namboothiri and Saraswathi Antarjanam on November 20, 1965. For the past three decades, he has been leading a life completely dedicated to music as an artiste and as a 'Guru'. He is in a non stop mission in sharing his knowledge and experience in music to the next generation students and aspirants of music,with the advancement in technology.He is taking great initiative in sharing numerous rare keerthanams and varnams of eminent composers through his what's app group ,'Sangeethopasana' which comprises many musicians and music enthusiasts as group members.He has all the support and cooperation from his wife Shreemati Sreeja throughout his musical journey.He has received many prestigious awards including 'Kanchi Kamakoti Asthana Vidwan Pattam', 'Guruguharatna' award and 'Dakshinamurthy Puraskaram' to name a few.
