I was working on Pat Martino's linear expression on the other day and liked one of his activity idea that contains b9 as a passing note for minor conversion lick.
I realized I get more ideas of what to play when I go through scale pattern like 5 b7 9 b9 1 as I played in the beginning of this lick. This video is an example of the development starting with that sequence.
