Correct Mouth Shape is extremely crucial in Singing, it not only changes your tone, but also affects the amount of Strain your Vocal Chords are feeling when pushing the air through mouth.
Oval shape with raised Soft Palate is perfect for Singing. Although we do ise Hard palate to create effects sometimes.
Legendary singers like Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammad Rafi, KK, many more, mostly have this shape of mouth when they sing which makes the sound more resonant.
