Singer Peter Andre is lending his voice to an Australian character in the new film.
According to a Mattel press release the celebrity from Down Under stars as 'Ace', "a bright yellow and very cheeky Australian rally car that inspires Thomas to leave his home of Sodor and travel around the world with him".
Andre said he got "such a buzz" doing his first global voiceover for a movie. A-list stars featured in the world-famous family franchise in the past include actors Eddie Redmayne, Hugh Bonneville and Olivia Coleman.
The singer has recorded a new song for the film called "Free and Easy" which will be made available on Spotify after the movie's release.
"Thomas & Friends: Big World! Big Adventures! The Movie" will screen in 400 UK cinemas from July 20, before its global release.
