Pig In A Pen! This was such a fun song to do, and particularly interesting for me, because we adapted our version from a Ricky Skaggs recording, so my teacher and I worked on adapting 3 finger style rolls for clawhammer style. I think it turned out pretty well! My favorite moment is at 1:40 when the band notices that our mandolin player broke a string and we all silently panic (I must say, I did not do a good job disguising my shock lol). I also love how joyous and happy the singers are; they really brought the energy for this concert, and killed it with the vocals as well! And how about those coordinated outfits! This was the first song of the concert, and you can kinda tell we're all still getting used to sharing one mic haha. I think it made the stage dynamic really fun though.
Everyone say hi to Micah on mandolin, Nat on fiddle, Chris on guitar, Mary Beth, Ashley, and Lindsey on vocals, and of course, the legendary Mr. Phil on bass. What a great group!
