The singer-songwriter spoke on her come up, which was no easy feat. As she made music for her Walking Around Pools EP, she worked as a bagger for Ralph's grocery store. She finally quit after signing her deal with Atlantic Records.

The L.A. native came up with the title of her EP after spending time outside her apartment's pool. Since she was overwhelmed with work, music and the heat in the Valley, she was never able to sit back, relax and lounge at her neighborhood's pool. The singer, who has written for Tyga and Wiz Khalifa, says she more than certain her time is now.
