In this tutorial, I breakdown my favorite groove from Professor Longhair (aka Fess). This groove comes from the tune “Hey Now Baby”. Fess is one of the founding father’s of New Orleans piano. He is known for blending Caribbean rhythms with American rhythm and blues.

If you want to play New Orleans piano, you better know some Fess!

SHEET MUSIC
I learn everything by ear so do not have sheet music. I do not plan on making sheet music due to potential copyright issues. If you have specific questions about what I'm playing, feel free to leave a comment. I’m happy to help.
