Practice this to build your range...

Since it's been a frequently requested topic, lately, here's a simple drill to work on your upper register. Nothing terribly difficult to play, just up and down a 1 octave chromatic scale with a 4 beat hold at either end. Work this upwards in half steps/semitones as far as you can. The most IMPORTANT thing is to PLAY AS SOFTLY AS POSSIBLE without pinching your lips. Mezzo piano or softer at all times. If you play this everyday, your range will improve.
