I first wrote this piece on January 27, 2019. I got the inspiration within the week while walking to attend my Nov/Dec Classes one late afternoon; I remember very well that the inspiration started at Community 4, Tema. So I started freestyling with the word beef. On Sunday, around 6pm, I said lemme write this poem out. On Monday, I shared the poem on Facebook, and it got a lot of attention from my Facebook friends.
In our final at Chemu SHS in 3S3, I used to walk to Alex Abayateye, and tell him we had a beef. So that's the genesis of the word.
