Only we can decide how hard things will be. Yes, the bad, sad and scary things in life that happen can be COMPLETELY out of our control, but we have a choice of how we want to be a badass through the hard times.

You’ve been warned, there are a lot of scenes of me crying in the YouTube video. Why did I capture them? I didn’t want to forget this moment. I want to have times in my life that I look back and reflect on how challenging this time was, how we overcame it, and how it taught me so much. And mostly: how THANKFUL I AM to have gotten through it and be in a different chapter of my life.

This isn’t a story about “just keep working”… but its about not letting life come to a stop. I chose not to sulk. Instead, I chose to strap on that “shit” seatbelt and RIDE that rollercoaster.
