Redneck Revelry, the song, was written as a tribute to the enduring spirit, individuality, creativity and resourcefulness of the great All American Redneck. Anyone can be a 'Redneck', as it is more about a state-of-mind than a physical attribute. The engineering marvels, that are Monster Mud Trucks, along with their smaller UTV & ATV counterparts, all revel in the conquering and taming of almost impossibly soggy terrain, and traversing swamps and mud-bogs just because they are there. And when that's all taken care of, park along the edge of the swamp to chill & swill. It's all about camaraderie and revelry whether your from the 'burbs, the hood or the holler. Just don't expect to stay clean! This unique gathering and bonding of fellow mud-sloggers is not an official 'sport', or a 'sanctioned' activity, and thus is 'un-corporatized' and still undefined as anything other than a group of Redneck Revelers, reveling in the 'slingin' mud & swillin' suds and hangin' with your buds.
REDNECK REVELRY LYRICS: by Matthew Greenwood
We drive trucks that are jacked to the moon
when they see us coming, they shiver & they swoon
we like Slingin' mud & Swillin' Suds
and hangin', bangin' ...wranglin' with our buds

We've twisted cranks and broke the bank
cussed and hollered about all the dollars
just to keep these beasts on the run
they're temperamental giants, upon whom we're not reliant
For Sunday, Monday, Tuesday grocery runs

Boggin' holes and Jelly Rolls, as far as the eyes can see
Some folks say we're crazy, and that very well may be
But if you take a good hard look, it's easy to see
We're just havin' fun & gettin' 'er done
It's called Redneck Revelry

Redneck Revelers, wild and free
Some folks say we're crazy, and that very well may be
But slingin' mud and swillin' suds
and smoozin' with the crowd
We're just hangin' out and gettin' loud
Just Redneck ... Revelry

We're proud to fly the American Flag
Our hero's wear Olive Drab
Let's go .. let's go .... Let's Roll
We're kin to souls, who tamed this wild frontier
Overflowing with gratitude around here

Redneck Revelers, wild and free
Some folks say we're crazy, and that very well may be
and others say we're having too much fun
that we must be breaking the law
We're just Redneck Revelers committing Redneck Revelry

Redneck Revelers, forever free
Standing tall, one and all, for what we believe
Left alone is all we ever asked to be
So roll on, and be gone, and don't
Don't Tread On Me

Conclusion:
Thanks again to everyone and anyone who helped and/or cheered on this project. There were many folks who lent a hand, offered ideas, and provided material and logistical assistance to making this all work. It took teamwork to this off. The Plant Bamboo Mud Park, in Okeechobee, FL, was super accommodating and made for a great venue for our filming of the Redneck Revelry music video. Jessica Underhill made the video process so much easier by graciously ushering us around the Mud Park and knowing all the 'hot spots' to be. Many thanks to Jessica for that. Also, many thanks to Penny Martin, of Penny Martin Photography, (One of the very best photographers of Mud Trucks in Action) for all of here help in getting us in touch with the right people and serving as a mentor in the making of this music video. Thanks Penny!
