Why you sound breathy ????
When your vocal folds don’t come together completely when they vibrate, they leave a small gap for air to leak through.
So in order to reduce breathiness, we need to close that gap in your vocal folds!
Sounds like g (as in good) or y (as in yes) can help you achieve firmer vocal fold closer and therefore reduce breathiness.
If on the other hand you want to increase breathiness - sound more breathy - then using sounds like h (as in hello) or or s (as in say) can help keep the gap in the vocal folds.
I hope this helps!
