One of the best ways to play more interesting guitar chords is to start using intervals. In this intermediate guitar lesson, I'll show you how to play something called spread thirds -- where we take basic major and minor third intervals and spread them apart by an octave, creating a beautiful alternative to your basic chords. The handy thing is that they're just connected to the four essential bar chord shapes you already know, making them easy to remember and use. I hope you find this video helpful.
