The Jazzmaster was introduced in 1958 - ironically the same year as the Gretsch Filtertrons hit the market, yet this guitar has not enjoyed the status in rockabilly circles. Let’s talk about that, and investigate the suitability of the Jazzmaster for a rockabilly axe! We know Brian Setzer bought about the popularity of the Gretsch, but did anyone carry the torch for the Jazzmaster? Yes and not really.. Stick around for a play through at the end with a rockabilly backing track!
