I learned "Sally Goodin" from a North Carolina fiddler whose name I never knew. I used to play it on the banjo in gDGBD. Later, I heard Aaron Stephens play "Rooster Crow Medley" by Uncle Dave Macon, which is the same tune with some different words. Here, I've tuned my fretless minstrel banjo to ~ eAEAB to follow Macon's arrangement; however, Macon was probably tuned gCGBD for his recording.
