Discover "Crowtune" – The Latest Single from R.T.P.
Composed and produced by mastermind Rainer Thanner and written by Frank De Blijen, Crowtune tells a fairytale that begins in sorrow but culminates in love. At its heart is the story of Crowtune, a gnome deemed ugly by human standards, who encounters a fairy. She guides him back to his world, where he finds happiness with the gnomess Loomish. The narrative unfolds with spoken word, transitions into a duet through the fairy’s enchanting vocals, and builds into a climactic finale featuring the timeless Saint-Exupéry quote: “What is essential is invisible to the eye, but only visible to the heart.”
With their new single, Crowtune (Cycle of Twenty-Four), the Bavarian-Lower Saxon duo R.T.P. presents a track already recognized with an award at the German Rock & Pop Prize 2022. The song will be available for streaming starting November 29, 2024, while the compelling music video premieres on the First Sunday of Advent (December 1, 2024).
Crowtune is a progressive rock infused modern Pop / Electronica track —arguably one of the strongest creations by Rainer Thanner and Frank De Blijen to date. It opens with a rhythmically intricate introduction, transitions to the storyteller’s spoken word (voiced by Oliver Kobl), and evolves with intensifying instrumentation, including brass elements. Stephanie Bauer joins as the fairy, adding a second voice that transforms the piece into a stirring duet. The song crescendos to its grand finale, delivering its profound message: “Only with the heart can one see rightly.”
With Crowtune, R.T.P. continues to innovate and captivates listeners with this latest addition to their "Cycle of" series, released as a stand-alone track.
