Undoubtedly one of Ruth's finest, Sweet Baby of Mine" is a variant cover of Bobby Sharp's "Baby Girl of Mine", released a couple of months before Brown's record. Bobby Sharp's main claim to fame was that he wrote "Unchain My Heart", under the pseudonym of Agnes Jones.
