Sacrificing my hair to play my instrument

This is a rehearsal that I had this week. I have a triple clarinet case, which allows me to have a Bb, Eb, and an A clarinet with me at all times. I don’t always play all of these instruments so I borrow things and take things out as I need them. I specifically use my Eb ligature along with my metal alto sax mouthpiece during jazz rehearsal and since I play jazz very often, it typically stays in my woodwind mouthpiece pouch. My last name is Quixtan (a Mayan name in the K’iche tribe) and this word is the best description of my strength AND weakness. I often find myself having these grand ideas that are unrealistic and impractical to most people. I hope to look back one day and smile at the unrealistic experiences that I was able to have because of my ability to see the world in a different light.
