???? Sunday Sesh with Scott Haigh ????
Welcome to Sunday Sesh, filmed at Disclosed Recordings!
This week, we're thrilled to feature the folk and rock and roll stylings of Scott Haigh.
In this session, Scott Haigh performs two deeply personal originals. The first, Going It Alone, holds special significance for Scott. "It represents the moment I stopped depending on others for my happiness and realised I needed to go it alone to understand myself and find my place in the world. It's a mix of empowerment and fear," he shares. The second track, Head Above Ground, was written during one of Scott's darkest periods. "Creating that song brought me back to life," he says. "I've lost friends to suicide, and now I play this song with the hope that it might offer strength to someone else who needs it."
Scott’s sound blends traditional folk and roots with classic rock and roll. Influenced by Americana legends like Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and Bruce Springsteen, he strives to channel the spirit of rock and roll and traditional roots music while infusing it with his own heartfelt words and emotions shaped by his personal experiences.
We had the absolute pleasure to produce, record (partially), mix, master Scott's 4th album, "Dark Days." Check it out here: https://open.spotify.com/album/2hmXpSHPemaaJTWZFnsBO9?si=j6hbDfShTaWhmtlBNQVq_A
