On day 8 of my self-taught violin journey I'm wondering why I need SO MUCH ROSIN on my bow? If I don't coat the bow with rosin consistantly, I end up with terrible squeeking on my upbow. What could I be doing wrong?

I've been playing music for 30 years, but learning something new is ALWAYS a challenge. If YOU are learning to play an instrument...don't give up! Expect the climb to be steep and the challenges to be many. That's all part of the process!
