http://www.vladtv.com - Shotgun Suge addressed the recently ignited beef between Chief Keef and Newark, NJ, Grape Street Crips in this clip from his exclusive interview with VladTV Battle Rap Journalist Michael Hughes.
The tension between Chicago native Chief Keef and Newark, NJ's, Grape Street Crips flared after Keef dropped bars on his "Faneto" track, where he rapped about wanting to shoot up New Jersey. He went on to tweet that his targeted area was Bergen Street and Mapes, which is a block which Shotgun Suge and many other Grape Street Crips call home. As a result, the gang banded together and released a response video to Chief Keef, warning him not to come back to their state otherwise it will be "on sight" if anyone of their members runs into him. The whole conflict originally started after Keef was nearly robbed of his chain back in 2013 during a performance in Newark, NJ.
Shotgun made it very clear that the beef at hand is not between Chicago vs. New Jersey, but just Chief Keef individually. Suge explained how Bergen and Mapes and Newark as a whole is his home, and that Keef took things too far by stating that he wants to shoot up his home town. He also addressed fans calling into question the legitimacy of his Grape Street Crip ties, and how he and his associates are official well respected members coast to coast.
Chief Keef has yet to respond to the Grape Street Crips' warning to him to beware of returning to their state.
