We were honoured to be given the opportunity to speak to the incredible Sir Bob Geldof at Microsoft's #FutureDecoded. He gave us an exclusive lowdown on fourth version of the Band Aid charity single, Do They Know It's Christmas which will feature the likes of Ed Sheeran, One Direction, U2's Bono, Chris Martin, Emeli Sande, Sinead O'Connor, Paloma Faith, Foals, Bastille & many more.

Announcing the project, Bob Geldof and Midge Ure said the song's lyrics would be changed to reflect the Ebola crisis. The original was released in 1984. It sold 3.7 million copies and raised £8m for famine relief in Ethiopia

In 1984, Geldof responded to a BBC news report from Michael Buerk about the famine in Ethiopia by mobilising the pop world to do something about the images he had seen. With Midge Ure of Ultravox he wrote "Do They Know It's Christmas?" in order to raise funds. The song was recorded by various artists under the name of Band Aid.

More recently, Band Aid 20, marking 20 years of the record, included the likes of Coldplay, Dizzee Rascal, Ms Dynamite, Will Young and Robbie Williams.
