Today we’re going to look at some great bass lines from a great style for bass players of ANY LEVEL.
These five bass lines are from the 'Two Tone' style or UK Ska revival of the late 70s early 80s. So we’re talking bands like Madness, The Specials, The Beat and Bad Manners to name just a few.
Ska bass lines are always melodic, interesting and just about the best demonstrations out there for application of chord tones and how they work in outlining a progression.
So if you’re learning a little theory or harmony and you’re wondering how arpeggios, specifically triads can help you with jamming or creating a bass line, this is the style for you.
