To play the "Casey Claw" you have to break three rules that normally apply when playing.
1. You can't hold the stick at the normal balance point. Instead, you have to hold the stick in the middle.
2. You can't keep your thumb pointed along the shaft of the stick. Instead, you have to offset it to allow your wrist to move.
3. Instead of the stick motion being straight up and down, I play this visual with an angled stroke that creates more of a glancing blow.
