ABOUT:
Estela Aragon is a trumpet instructor, entrepreneur, masterclass artist, and performer. She is a Denis Wick Artist and performs exclusively on their mouthpieces. Estela is the founder and educator at TrumpetHeadquarters.com and MusicFitAcademy.com, two different music programs to teach the trumpet through well-founded pedagogical approaches and methods. As a seasoned masterclass presenter and ambassador for the art of education, Estela is often invited to share her ample experience in music education and entrepreneurship in podcasts, music programs, and conference panels. She has been invited to the Oklahoma State Trumpet Studio, Shenandoah University Music Entrepreneurship Program, BrassChix Annual Gathering, Denis Wick Artist Summit, TMEA - Mouthpiece Neophobia Panel, Denis Wick Women in Brass Panel, Diversify the Stand Podcast, Musician’s Perspective Podcast and Bold as Brass Podcast. Aragon is also a member of the International Trumpet Guild Committee for Inclusion and Diversity, a preliminary judge for the National Trumpet Competition and a mentor for the International Women’s Brass Conference.

Education: I received my Master’s degree in Trumpet Performance from the University of South Carolina School of Music where I studied with James Ackley (former Principal of the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra and internationally acclaimed solo artist) and world renowned trumpeter Allen Vizzutti. Prior to that I received my Bachelors of Music in Trumpet Performance degree from the University of Tampa under the instruction of Aric Brian, a full-time jazz performer.
