Keeping our hearts open & staying soft in our being - it's a practice that I believe is able to change the world. Resting in a state of love, meeting other beings with compassion.
And while this is important, it's as equally important to set boundaries sometimes, which can absolutely also be an act of love - an act of self love. I once read a quote from Prentis Hemphill that said: “Boundaries are the distance at which I can love you and me simultaneously.” and I feel that it describes this perfectly ????
