Some Thoughts on Tongue Blocking on the Harmonica
This video is not a lesson per se, more a discussion of some of my ideas about tongue blocking. Some people find it difficult to tongue block on the harmonica but I believe this doesn't have to be so. I talk about ways to think about the tongue and compare it to how the fingers play a string instrument.
This video is part of a series I intend to produce about alternative ways to think about tongue blocking on the harmonica.

Harmonica for the Soul is the channel of Nick Jackman, a harmonica player, multi-instrumentalist and one-man-band from New Zealand. Subscribe to this channel if you play harmonica and want to learn about American folk, blues and roots, traditional Irish and Scottish folk, tongue-blocking techniques, or how to play guitar and “hands-free” neck rack harmonica together.
