Kevin Hearn is best known as a multi-instrumentalist from Barenaked Ladies, the multi-platinum selling band he’s played with for over two decades.They were recently inducted into the Canadian Rock and Roll Hall of fame. One of the most respected Toronto musicians of the past 25 years, Hearn has collaborated, recorded and performed with
such artists as The Tragically Hip, Violent Femmes, Laurie Anderson, Carole Pope,Garth Hudson (The Band),The Persuasions, The Cranberries, Ron Sexsmith, and The Rheostatics. In 2019 His record Calm and Cents was nominated by the Junos for best instrumental album of the year, while his project The Superhero Suite received a nomination for best artwork.One of Hearn’s closest relationships, both musical and personal, was with the late, great
Lou Reed, for whom Hearn acted as keyboardist and musical director from 2007 up until his passing in 2013.
