“When Do We Get Paid (in Full),” is a twenty-minute version of the Staples Jr. Singers' 1975 classic “When Do We Get Paid.” Recorded in West Point, Mississippi, at a house of worship called The Message Center, it's more of a séance than a song—and it happened more or less spontaneously when the original members, Edward, R.C., and Annie, got together to play music in 2022 for the first time in more than forty years.
