In today's guitar lesson we learn how to play the 1st guitar solo to "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits. In this lesson, we hop into the mind of Mark Knopfler to try and better understand which scales, arpeggios, fretboard shapes, phrasings, and techniques Knopfler is drawing from to create his masterful solo phrasing. This solo is a great example of playing over the triads, chord tones, and pentatonic scale.
