➡️ I've been enamored with Sweden's metal scene for a long time, and even listened to an egregious amount of ABBA as a kid. There's always something special happening over there, musically-speaking. I'm continuing my punk-rock exploration to hear Swedish skate punk for the first time from Satanic Surfers! Their track "Soothing" was an immediate punch in the face featuring blistering leads from bassist Tomek Sokolowski as he pummeled underneath a wash of sweet, technical riffing. I discuss his approach to outlining the chord changes, his bass tone, and his chaotic way of taking the spotlight. Hang onto your seats! ????????????????????
