Talking some more CONAN THE BARBARIAN with writer Jim Zub

While many characters in comics have in some ways lost their edge in recent years, Conan the Barbarian remains the greatest badass in all of popular and genre culture. A big part of the reason for that, is that Conan isn’t owned by a big corporation, but by the independent Conan Properties Inc, which is ultimately controlled by one man; Fredrik Malmberg, the keeper of the Conan Legend.
The one who writes Conan’s new ongoing hyborian adventures though, on behalf of licence holder Marvel comics, is Jim Zub. We spoke with him one year ago, when he had recently been appointed the writer of the regular Conan comicbook – but shortly after that, the world went off the rails.
Therefore, we caught up with him again, to take look back at the storylines that have been released since we last spoke, the ins and outs of working on a book where Marvel’s editorial board in turn answer to Conan properties, and which stories still await Conan in the pages of Marvel Comics.
