Years ago, people learned drums through private lessons, books, DVDs, VHS tapes, and drum clinics. Today, drum education has completely changed—you can learn almost anything straight from your phone. In this video, we’re asking the question: *Can a complete beginner learn to play drums using only a music lessons app?*

Our subject is Ron Jackson, host of @MusoraOfficial 's "Covers On The Spot" series. He’s never played drums—and he has no idea he’s about to take part in this experiment.

Using the Drumeo Method on the Musora App, Ron starts at Lesson 1 and works his way through the first Learning Path. Along the way, he tackles a quarter note beat, an eighth note “money” beat, an eighth note drum fill, and learns to move everything around the kit—preparing for his first full song performance.
