In this video we look at Jerry Garcia's guitar parts on the Grateful Dead classic, "Tennessee Jed." Tennessee Jed was first performed by the Dead on October 19, 1971, and played every year except for 1975. Although the form of the song never changed, both Jerry and Bob's approach on this tune evolved over the years.

The demo is reminiscent of early 70's version, and the first and second interludes both were taken from the 10/19/72 version. However, as I go through the song, I point out the changes in post-hiatus versions of Tennessee Jed.
