I have no intentions to compare myself with the great poet - Mirza Ghalib. I attempt to portray true events from my life in each piece of my music. When I started writing lyrics, a few of my friends would call me "Ghalib" because of my cursive handwriting and my Urdu vocabulary.

Upon You Leaving

Upon you leaving, people started calling me Ghalib
My pen was inked still before
I desired to pen those memories down still before
There were no teardrops falling on the pages
I never hoped for you to not be with me
I couldn’t take my eyes off you
I had no other desires except being with you.
Now nobody can suppress my words, hence people are calling me Ghalib
My existence is free as a bird
Everything I pen down, becomes a new perspective in your adoration
Exploring the vast skies like an aimless wanderer
Some call me a saint, some call me a sinner
I have become a stranger to myself
Kindly don’t conclude I have any grudges
Under your supervision I entered this phase
Now I neither have any desires, nor do I search for anything
