http://www.vladtv.com - Harlem's own Teyana Taylor sat down with VladTV for an exclusive interview where she talked about her new album, being signed to G.O.O.D. Music, and how much she appreciates Kanye West's belief in her talent.
Taylor says her new album, VII, is based on the seven years she's been a signed artist, waiting and working on her craft to be able to bring us this new body of work. When asked why there's only one fellow G.O.O.D. Music signee (Pusha T) featured on the album, Taylor feels it was necessary to stand on her own two feet and keep features to a minimum.
The "Maybe" singer also spoke on Kanye West showing love and support at her Los Angeles album listening session, saying he initially wasn't going to go into any of his usual rants, but by the end of the night he just had to share how he felt about Teyana with the crowd, which she will always appreciate.
Check out more lessons she's learned from Mr. West above.
