Today's mini-lesson : The 'Agh- Uh' and 'Agh-Oh' combo exercises. I use the 'Agh' sound (as in 'task') with the tongue out of the mouth and slightly exaggerated a lot in my studio to tap into the witchy pharyngeal sound which gives a bright, trumpet-like resonance. It's great for building a strong belty mix without too much pressure. This video focuses on carrying that bright and free approach into thicker vowels 'OH' and 'UH'. This is helpful to keep from adding to much weight and heaviness to them as we ascend from chest voice into our middle register.
