As Marvel's new #SpiderManNoWayHome is about to hit the theaters, in honor of Stan Lee's #AmazingSpiderMan, I present my arrangement of the popular 60's cartoon theme song by J. Robert Harris and Paul Francis Webster. This number is embraced to this day by the franchise as you will often hear it woven into many of the remakes. The original lyrics were nothing less than great, but the music stands on it own in soundtrack form which is what my version is attempting to create in homage to the film.
Production notes: The full band you hear is actually all me in my home studio. It was mixed by my esteemed friend Christian Taylor (CT) out in Nashville.
The mid-section of the arrangement was written by me, which is something I do with all my TV theme remakes. The intro was co-composed with CT. The siren you hear is actually my guitar as I played a constant harmonic while my son was manipulating the whammy bar to make it sound like the real thing. (it worked!) Oh and that Green Goblin laugh is also me. I'm a William Defoe fan and I always liked his maniacal and menacing chuckle. Or maybe I could just relate to it!
