ABBA was a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. They became one of the best-selling music acts in history. Their global breakthrough came in 1974 when they won the Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo.

The group, originally composed of two married couples, saw their relationships decline as their fame grew, influencing their later, more introspective songs. After disbanding in 1982, Ulvaeus and Andersson pursued musical theatre, while Fältskog and Lyngstad had solo careers. Their 1992 compilation ABBA Gold was a major success, and their music inspired the hit musical Mamma Mia! and its film adaptations.

ABBA has sold between 150–385 million records worldwide and had eight consecutive UK No.1 albums. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010 and received multiple accolades, including the Grammy Hall of Fame for Dancing Queen.

After decades apart, they reunited in 2016, releasing Voyage in 2021, their first album in 40 years. The ABBA Voyage concert, featuring digital avatars of the band, launched in London in 2022.
